CHRISTIAN AID

Christian Aid Week is the single biggest act of Christian witness in Britain and Ireland. For thousands of people throughout the country, Christian Aid Week is a way of getting out into their local communities, answering Jesus’s call to help people in need, and showing the community just how much good the church is doing in the world.

As a church we undertake house-to-house collections throughout Peasedown St John. This can be a challenging job, but it an important part of our outreach into the village and provides vital funds for Christian Aid.

ECO CHURCH

The earth is God’s creation. It is a precious resource, given to humanity as a gift from God, which sustains all life. We are merely temporary stewards of the world and need to ensure we nurture it, protect it, and allow it to thrive for all of God’s children, now and for future generations.

In 2023 we attained an Eco Church Bronze Award
and we're now working towards a Silver Award.

We are called to honour God by caring for His creation. Our mission is to integrate environmental stewardship into every aspect of our church life - through worship, education, and action - while empowering our community to live sustainably. Guided by faith and compassion, we strive to protect and nurture the Earth for future generations, ensuring that our actions reflect our love for God and His world.
